Watch: YouTube Guy Makes Test Flight in Flying Car

Disruptor Watch:

The Kitty Hawk flying machine has been on more than 1,000 test flights, but this week it got a little extra attention as the company handed the controls to YouTuber Casey Neistat.

The Flyer, is not yet available for purchase because an invite-only group of “founders” gets first dibs on buying them, but it is envisioned as being available for purchase eventually and will be flyable by people without pilot licenses.

The vehicle is powered by an all-electric motor that runs on lithium polymer batteries, and uses smart sensors to make it easy to fly.
