Television personality and cannabis activist Montel Williams is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the Cannabis World Congress and Business Exposition in Boston in October.
Williams had been scheduled to speak at the CWCBE conference this past summer in New York, but had to cancel because of illness.
Williams, who has multiple sclerosis, will discuss how cannabis has helped him cope with the disease, and discuss his efforts to advocate for cannabis.
Williams is scheduled to speak on the afternoon of Oct. 20.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld also will speak at the Boston conference, serving as the other keynote speaker on Friday, Oct. 19. Weld has been an outspoken advocate for legalizing cannabis, and serves on the board of advisors at Acreage Holdings, along with former House Speaker John Beohner.
The Cannabis World Congress and Business Exposition in Boston runs Oct. 17-20 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.
