Google Eyeing First Brick and Mortar Retail Store

Google is planning a two-level store in Chicago’s Fulton Market district, its first known location for a retail flagship, the Chicago Tribune and Crain’s Chicago business reported.

Up to now, the massive online company has only opened retail spaces as been pop-up stores or small kiosks inside other stores.

Crain’s reported that a source close to the negotiations said Google is close to finalizing a lease agreement on on a 14,000 square foot property in the trendy market area, just a few blocks from Google’s Chicago offices, considered its Midwest headquarters.
