Companies Line Up to be Suppliers for Ontario Online Cannabis Store

Canadian customers will be able to purchase legal cannabis from one online provider starting in October, and companies are lining up to supply the products the online store will sell.

The Ontario Cannabis Store, so far the only legal online outlet for cannabis sales in the province, said this week it has reached supply agreements with 26 licensed producers. It said that won’t be all, as it will continue to have competitive product calls as it builds out its product line.

“These agreements are a significant milestone that signals our readiness for the legalization of cannabis in Ontario,” Patrick Ford, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Ontario Cannabis Store wrote on the OCS website. “These agreements will allow us to safely and securely provide a broad variety of cannabis products to adult customers when online sales begin.”
