Brightline Trains Start South Florida Service This Month, Making Test Runs Now

The new Brightline train in Florida begins simulated service this week as it gets ready to launch passenger service before the end of the year.

The Palm Beach Post reported Tuesday that 10 trains will run without passengers in each direction between West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale.

Brightline says it expects passenger service to start in late December in Palm Beach and Broward counties in Florida, with service to Miami expected to follow early in 2018.
