Amazon, Lennar teaming up on Smart Homes

Amazon and homebuilder Lennar are offering homes that have a number of connected devices aimed at allowing homeowners internet-based control of the house’s amenities.

Devices in the homes are all controlled by voice commands through Amazon’s smart speaker, Alexa.

The homes feature keyless smart locks, thermostats controlled through mobile phones, smart lighting systems, and a doorbell security feature that works through a mobile phone.

Video from USA Today:

Lennar is building the homes in Miami Lakes and Orlando in Florida, Irvine and Vallejo in California, as well as in the Atlanta and Seattle areas, Dallas, and Northern Virginia.
